ABOUT PROGRAM

Abdullah Gul University Mechanical Engineering Department implements a special education and training program, which is open to development, focused on active learning, and based on scientifically based theoretical and applied courses formed around teamwork practices. Thus, students in their career; They are prepared for global competition in the fields of research, innovation, community service and entrepreneurship. The program specific to Abdullah Gul University Mechanical Engineering Department provides students with entrepreneurship, creativity, leadership, teamwork, scientific thinking and lifelong learning skills at every stage of the education program. It aims to develop through the use of learning methods and by shaping interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary projects according to students' ideas and feedback. Apart from studies in traditional technical fields supported by effective computer simulations and experimental research in various laboratories; to seek engineering solutions to global, economic, environmental and social-focused problems: Energy Systems, Fluid Mechanics, Design and Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Control Systems, Robotics, Vibration and Acoustics, Automotive Engineering, Composite Materials, Biomechanics, Renewable Energy, Battery Engineering, Sustainable Research and training studies are carried out in laboratories established in both classical and emerging areas such as Design and Production.

Program Outcomes

1. Developing the ability to employ basic sciences and engineering knowledge to solve complex real-life problems regarding mechanical engineering.

2. Developing the ability to define and formulate complex engineering problems and develop modeling and analysis methodologies to propose appropriate solutions to these problems.

3. Acquiring analytical and critical thinking skills to improve engineering projects management abilities such as risk management, entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable development.

4. Developing individual-working skills, and abilities of effective intra- and the interdisciplinary team works.

5. Seeking sustainable solutions to global engineering problems related to mechanical engineering in social and communal contexts, awareness of the legal consequences of engineering solutions

6. Learning the professional and ethical responsibilities in engineering practices and applying engineering standards in mechanical engineering-related problems.

7. Following technological developments and contemporary research topics with the awareness of the need for lifelong learning.

8. Developing practical oral and written communication skills and learning at least one foreign language for effective report writing and presentation skills.

9. Ability to design and conduct experiments, and collect, analyze, and interpret data for the study of complex mechanical engineering problems and research topics.

10. Developing the ability to design complex engineering problems by considering realistic constraints, proposing experimental and numerical research methodologies to meet the desired requirements, and applying effectively modern design and information technologies in this context.
