RIDVAN BÜYÜKÇAPAR, GRADUATE STUDENT

17 May 2020

After I graduated, I understood better that it was a great chance for me to take the university entrance exam in 2013 and for AGU to admit students for the first time that year. Thanks to the English education we have received and the majority of our professors in the preparatory school are native English speakers; It is an undeniable fact that it helps me to adapt to a different culture more easily and gain a new vision of the world. They also instilled in the self-confidence that we could manage all over the world on our own, thanks to the 2-month language school AGU sent us in America when we were 19. Unfortunately, there are not many Turkish resources available on the Internet, so English plays a really important role today in order to reach more and more accurate information. During my education life, I went abroad at least once a year, I did one of my internships in Portugal and I had the opportunity to travel around the country enough. I think I had the opportunity to do these in the sum of the scholarship given by my school, the vision of my professors, the energy of my friends, and the one-week breaks given each semester. Since the education system I have taken throughout my undergraduate life is student-oriented and research-oriented, it has taught me to cope with stress in the face of problems. Even after graduation, the contributions and support of our professors continue. While I am currently working as an R&D engineer in a private company, I am still participating in the Tübitak project as a graduate student of AGU. I would like to thank my school and my teachers for their efforts and values.
