I joined AGU in 2013, when AGU first started accepting students, and I saw myself as one of the lucky 120 students. One of the main reasons is that the language of education is 100% English. Considering that English is the common language of our age and our global world, I thought that I could graduate as a good engineer by getting a good English education and finishing the preparatory school and using the common language we learned in the department courses. After 5 years of undergraduate education, I realized that I made the right decision.
Another opportunity that AGU provided for me and all my other friends before graduation was abroad opportunities. I had the opportunity to be abroad twice. The first of these was the 2-month USA period I had experienced in 2014. In 2017, I had the opportunity to do an internship in Hannover, Germany, for 2 months in the summer, right after completing the third year of the undergraduate semester. Especially the connections of our professors in our department were very effective in providing these internship opportunities abroad. Having the experience of working in a foreign country and especially in one of the countries where engineering education is given the best in the world before I graduated from university has played an important role in the development of my horizon. The academic internship I did played an important role in the development of my prospective doctorate and my dreams of becoming an academician.
In summary, in our globalizing world where borders are gradually emerging, the importance of education in English has increased considerably. In addition, it has become very important to be educated by academicians who are both productive, young and world-class, in order for the undergraduate education to be efficient. When I think about it in this context, AGU exceeded all these criteria in my period and continues to meet. If you want to get a good education at the end of 5 years and increase your graduate horizons, AGU is your right choice….
